Today marks a special day for Clixi; we’ve officially crossed 1,000 users on our app. And here’s the real kicker: 61% of them are women.
That number isn’t just a statistic. It’s a powerful reflection of the unmet need for safe, reliable, and trusted mobility in small towns and mountain regions.
In most mountain towns, men usually have access to some form of vehicle, whether it’s a scooter, bike, or car. For women, it’s a different story. Their mobility often depends on fathers, brothers, partners, or friends.
That reliance might seem small on paper, but in reality, it severely limits women’s freedom, independence, and opportunities. Want to attend a class, grab a coffee, shop at the bazaar, or simply get to work on time? Many women still need to wait for someone else’s schedule to align.
What Clixi Has Changed in Dharamshala
In just the last month, Clixi has enabled:
- 610+ women (about 1% of Dharamshala’s female population) to travel independently.
- Daily errands, commutes, and spontaneous plans without waiting around for someone to “drop them.”
- Trusted, verified drivers offering safety, reliability, and comfort for local rides.
- Outstation travel too! 4% of all ride requests have been to destinations outside Dharamshala.
For many of our users, this is more than just a ride. Clixi is freedom on demand.
Mobility is more than transport. It’s about access. Access to education, jobs, healthcare, and community life. Every ride we power is a step toward making suburban India more equitable.
As we grow, our mission is clear: to create a mobility infrastructure where women don’t have to think twice before stepping out.
We’re only just getting started. 1,000 users is a milestone worth celebrating, but the road ahead is bigger:
- Expanding our footprint across Himachal Pradesh.
- Deepening trust and safety features for women riders.
- Building a mobility ecosystem that suburban India can rely on.
Because in the mountains, freedom doesn’t just mean breathtaking views. It means being able to move—freely, safely, and confidently.
